Project Overview
Candle-lit 1930s ambiance, top jazz acts and lush cocktails make this legendary jazz club your perfect getaway for a romantic date, a night of world class jazz and a little trip back in time!

But: Jazz at Pearl's (http://www.jazzatpearls.com) was drowning in its own inefficiencies, a non-existent POS system, absence of Box Office, and nightmare staff scheduling tradition. Not to speak of dangerously uncontrollable staff cashout procedures.

Challenge
bmStudios needed to bring together the peculiarities of the Jazz at Pearl's way into a unified, simple, fool-proof system that allowed staff and owners easy access to a plethora of information regarding the club: bookings, food and drink sales, artist management, staff scheduling and pay, and reports. It was decided that bmStudios should use this legendary club as the Beta Testing ground for creating a subscription based service for venues of that nature.

Solution
Over a period of two years, a number of plane trips back and forward - bmStudios was able to create a custom, web based system that ran the entire club. A sophisticated POS system was installed, utilising portable touch panels for ordering by staff. An integrated booking system that allowed visitors to buy tickets online at the Pearl's site and then instantly show the booking for the Box Office and more.
